What is this product for?
TP-LINK’s TL-SG1024 is a 24-port Gigabit rack-mount switch that allows you to easily migrate to Gigabit Ethernet technology. All 24 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, saving you the worry of which cable to use – just plug and play. Thanks to its innovative energy-efficient technology, the TL-SG1024 saves up to 40%* of electricity, making it an eco-friendly solution for your home or workplace network.
Gigabit Switch
The TL-SG1024 features 24 10/100/1000Mbps ports that allow you to significantly expand your network capacity and enjoy instant transfer speeds when handling large files. This gives advanced users plenty of bandwidth to transfer large files, whether in a home, office, workgroup or creative production environment. Transfer graphics, CGI, CAD or multimedia files in an instant across the network.
Higher benefits
The TL-SG1024 features non-blocking wire-speed technology and 96Gbps switching capacity for maximum transfer rates. Its 8K MAC address table provides sufficient scalability for even the largest networks. It also supports IEEE 802.3x flow control in Full Duplex mode and Back-Pressure in Half Duplex mode, which can alleviate traffic congestion as well as ensure reliable data transmission.
Make your Ethernet network green
Now is your chance to make your network green by upgrading to Gigabit technology. The new TL-SG1024 switch incorporates the latest and most innovative energy-efficient technology. This allows you to expand your network capacity using much less electrical power. It automatically adjusts power consumption according to link status and cable length, thereby limiting your network's carbon footprint.
Shutting down inactive ports
In a traditional switch, when a computer or other network device is turned off, the corresponding port continues to consume a considerable amount of power. The TL-SG1024 automatically detects the connection status of each port and reduces the power consumption of those that are not active.
Consumption according to the length of the cable
Ideally, a shorter cable should consume less power because the power loss is lower. However, this is not the case for most devices, as they use the same power regardless of whether the cable length is 10 or 50 meters.
Ease of use
The automatic features of this Gigabit switch allow for a hassle-free Plug and Play installation. No configuration is required. All ports support Auto MDI/MDI-X, eliminating the need for a crossover cable or uplink ports. The auto-sensing port feature identifies the link speed of the network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts to ensure compatibility and best performance. Its compact size makes it ideal for desks with limited space. It is also rack-mountable for added convenience and security. Dynamic LEDs provide real-time status information and basic troubleshooting.
