The TL-SF1008P is a 8-port 10/100Mbps unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and offers 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. It can automatically detect and supply power to all IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). In this situation, power is transmitted along with data in a single cable, allowing you to extend your network to places where there are no power outlets, where you want to set up devices such as access points, IP cameras, IP phones, etc.
Power over Ethernet
4 Of the 8 Auto-Negotiable RJ45 ports (port-1 to port-4) on the switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE) function. These PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power to all IEEE 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet devices (PDs).
Overload Protection
TL-SF1008P has priority function which will help to protect the system when the system power is overloaded. If all PoE PDs power consumption is >=57W, priority will be arranged among PoE ports, the system will cut off the power of the lower priority port.
Priority Function by Port
Priority (Port-1 = Port-2 = Port-3 > Port-4): This feature will help to ensure the normal operation of the system, which means Port-4 will be cut off when all the total power consumption of PoE powered devices exceeds 57W. For example, ports 1, 2, and 4 use 15.4W each (maximum power 15.4W per port), the system is at 46.2W total. If there is an additional PoE powered device inserted into port 3 with 12W, then the system will cut off the power of port 4 due to the possibility of overload, this means ports 1 and 2 will use 15.4W each and Port 3 will use 12W, however, no power will be supplied into port 4.
Easy to use
The TL-SF1008P is easy to install and use. No configuration or installation is required. The TP-LINK TL-SF1008P 8-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop PoE Switch delivers exceptional performance and quality, making it an excellent choice for expanding both your home and office network.
