The GO-SW-16G/24G supports IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet, which automatically saves power and reduces heat without sacrificing performance or functionality. The switch can detect when a connected computer is turned off or when there is no Ethernet traffic and can automatically reduce the power used for that port, substantially reducing power usage. Additionally, the switch optimizes power usage for each port based on the length of the cable connected to it, using only the power that is needed. Both features work together to help you save energy automatically.
