The DGS-1210 Smart+ family is the only one in its segment with advanced management options, accessible through the Compact CLI interface or through Web-based UI to enable advanced functionalities in network administration; VLANs, multiple spanning tree protocol ( MSTP), link aggregation (LACP), static routing, dual software images, and dual configuration files.
Additionally, security features such as IGMP snooping, access control lists, port security and D-Link Safeguard Engine technology protect data integrity (even more mandatory after the GDPR comes into force) against malicious attacks such as denial of service (DND). service, broadcast, multicast and unicast flooding.
PoE
The DGS-1210+ series has several switches with PoE and PoE+ ports to power compatible devices via the LAN network cable: video surveillance cameras, IP phones, access points, etc., which increases the simplicity and flexibility of installation, while also representing significant savings in deployment and maintenance costs by avoiding the need to install additional electrical outlets.

Energy efficiency
Thanks to support for the IEEE 302.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard and D-Link Green 3.0 technology, the automated high-energy efficiency functions stand out, such as dissipation with fans that automatically adjust to the temperature of the equipment in PoE models and fanless in the rest of the range, hibernation and intelligent disconnection of ports and LEDs, cable length detection and Time-based PoE.
Video surveillance interface
In addition to the standard web interface, it is possible to select the Surveillance Mode in the Web UI for easier and more efficient management of an IP video surveillance network. It automatically detects the IP cameras in a CCTV installation and automatically aggregates them into a dedicated VLAN (Auto Surveillance VLAN) to prioritize video traffic and increase security. It provides details such as the PoE consumption of each camera, in order to better adjust the PoE Budget of each PoE Switch.
