Description
The DGS-1016D/1024D Gigabit Desktop Switches offer you a cost-effective solution for your workgroups so you can take advantage of the benefits and productivity that broadband offers.
Bring Gigabit networking to your office for less than you might think. Start with this 16-port 10/100/1000 switch and provide your colleagues with Gigabit connectivity in a flexible and efficient way.
Depending on the number of employees and to be able to structure your departments in the best way, opt for these switches that offer up to 24 Gigabit ports (DGS-1024D).
The D-Link DGS-1024D Switch is a 24-port 10/100/1000Mbps desktop switch that offers high performance in a space- and money-saving device. Another feature of this switch is that all ports automatically negotiate the MDI/MDIX (Up-Link) mode setting, avoiding the need to create crossover cables.
Standards
The DGS-1024D Switch supports IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 802.3u 100BASE-TX, 802.3ab 1000BASE-T and 803.3x flow control. This switch is equipped to auto-negotiate speeds at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps.
Flow control
The DGS-1024D switch, in Full-Duplex mode, helps protect users from data loss during network transmission. When connected to a LAN card (on a server or PC) that supports flow control, and when the data buffer is about to fill, the switch sends a signal to the PC indicating this situation. The PC then delays transmission until the buffer is freed and more data can be sent.
D-Link Green energy saving technologies
It incorporates new energy-saving technologies. By detecting whether connected devices are on or off and estimating cable length, the switch is able to adjust its energy consumption, resulting in savings of up to 73%*.
