Band Steering, automatic band assignment
The DWL-6610AP detects whether the Wi-Fi client device supports dual band and, if so, automatically switches it to the less congested and higher-performance 5 GHz band. This ensures maximum performance for both Wi-Fi AC (native to the 5 GHz band) and Wireless N devices that support dual band.
Standalone or Unified
The DWL-6610AP can operate as a standalone AP or as a unified AP within a centrally managed network using a D-Link Wireless Controller or Unified Wireless Switch. Additionally, support for Power Over Ethernet for powering the AP over the LAN cable increases installation flexibility.
Fast and seamless roaming
Centralized management via Wireless Switch or Wireless Controller allows you to ensure that client devices can move around the building without losing connectivity or performance
Simultaneous dual band 2.4/5 GHz
2x2 MIMO configuration on the 5 GHz band (6.5 dBi antennas) and 2x2 MIMO on the 2.4 GHz band (5 dBi antennas), with up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
