Cat adventures for 4 players
Explore the wonderful Fairy Kingdom alone or with up to 3 other friends, in local play* or, for the first time, online**. Discover amazing power-ups, like the Super Bell and Double Cherries, and give Bowser and all his minions what they deserve.
Team up with Bowsy to stop his father's rampage in the new Bowser's Fury game mode, a free-roaming 3D adventure. Run, jump, and bound across different islands while collecting the mysterious Cat Suns. Battle the colossal Furious Bowser, who keeps coming up from the depths of the water to destroy everything.
Save the fairies
Dangerous rapids, icy tundras... even a theme park dedicated to the Koopa King himself! The fairy kingdom promises adventure around every corner. Explore it to save the princess and her friends from Bowser's clutches!
The whole gang
This time, Mario isn't alone: Luigi, Peach and Toad don't want to miss out on the action! Each character has different abilities, so choose the one that suits you best.
You can play Super Mario 3D World with up to 3 other players on a single console* or in local play**, just like always. But now you can also play online***! Choose different characters before each level to take advantage of their different abilities and explore every nook and cranny of the Fairy Kingdom.
Help Mario and company on their adventures with the usual power-ups and some new ones!
Small tweaks
Enjoy Super Mario 3D World in its enhanced version with new gameplay tweaks.
All characters are faster and can climb higher after transforming with a Super Bell. Platforming has never been more thrilling! Plus, you can use motion controls in parts of the game that previously required touch control.
Something bad has happened to Bowser… Covered in a mysterious painting, he has become a gigantic monster that threatens to destroy everything!
Mario and an unlikely ally will have to explore the various islands of the Claw Sea to overcome obstacles, platforms and challenges in order to obtain the mysterious Cat Suns, which hold the power needed to stop the terrifying Bowser's Fury.
To reverse his daddy's transformation, Bowsy has only one option: asking his arch-enemy for help. So, aboard his Helikoopa, Bowsy joins Mario and copies all his movements, gives him a hand to defeat enemies and even shows him where the power-ups and other secrets very useful for his adventure are hidden.
Share the Joy-Con controllers with a friend to play together on the same console. One of you can control Bowser himself and directly help in the search for cat suns!
As you search for the Cat Suns, the evil Fury Sun will emerge from the waters near the island you are on.
If you see the sky getting dark, hurry up, because Bowser is coming! When he finally emerges from the furious sun, he'll try to finish you off with a shower of meteorites and scorching rays. Be careful!
Clash of the Titans
There's no need to sit back and wait for the disaster to end… If you've collected five Cat Suns on an island, you'll be able to activate the incredible power of the Giga Bell: a huge super bell that will transform Mario into Giga Cat Mario, ready to take on Furious Bowser in a truly titanic battle.
Throughout your adventures in the Fairy Kingdom, you'll be able to collect stamps, which now have a new use in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury thanks to the camera function: frame a picture, add the stamps you have and take the perfect photo!
