Designed with universal compatibility in mind, this dock works with both HP and non-HP laptops with USB-A, USB-C, and Thunderbolt.
[For USB-C functionality, the host PC must support DisplayPort Alt Mode protocol over the USB-C port. Thunderbolt-enabled notebooks will operate at USB-C speeds. Charging and port mirroring are supported on notebooks that have implemented the industry-standard USB-C specifications. Power button to power on/wake the system, Wake-on LAN from cold/warm plug, Wake-on LAN from S4/S5, and MAC Address Pass-Through S0, S3, S4, S5 features from cold/warm plug only work on HP or supported HP notebooks. HP does not provide audio or Ethernet drivers on Mac PCs.]

Reverse Compatibility
Use the included USB-A adapter to connect your USB laptop to the dock and access your accessories and up to two 4K displays. Use the optional HP 4.5mm to USB-C Dock Adapter G25 to charge legacy circular dock devices.
