Carbon monoxide, a lethal intruder in your home.
In winter, we tend to curl up on the sofa with the heating on. This is when carbon monoxide is lurking. If the heating system is not well maintained, carbon monoxide can be released. Carbon monoxide is a deadly gas that our senses cannot perceive. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to have one or more detectors installed to ensure that you receive an alert in time.
Simple and smart CO detector
Save yourself the effort of installing additional access points or home automation devices! All you need to get started is the FGA-13800 WiFi CO detector and your smartphone. Simply install the Connected at Home app and connect it to your CO detector, so you can leave the house without having to worry about carbon monoxide. You will receive a push notification on your phone always in time to respond. It is recommended to place a CO detector and a CO alarm on each floor.
Loud and clear alarm
The Smartwares FGA-13800 carbon monoxide alarm emits a loud and clear 85 dB sound that sounds when the permitted carbon monoxide concentration is exceeded. The alarm can be used in rooms with an area of 20 m² to 40 m². The sensor has a lifespan of 10 years and batteries are included. When the battery is running low, you will hear a short beep, so you know that it needs to be replaced.
Easy to install
The carbon monoxide detector works best if it is hung from the ceiling and at least 1.85 metres from a combustion appliance. A good place to place the detector is, for example, near the boiler or gas cooktop. You can also attach the detector to the ceiling using the screws provided.
Maintenance and testing
Dust and dirt can affect the functioning of the carbon monoxide detector. Therefore, it is important to clean the detector every month with a slightly damp cloth and every six months with a vacuum cleaner. However, cleaning products should not be used or the detector should be painted. In addition, it is recommended to test the carbon monoxide detector monthly to ensure that it is working properly.
